A history that started 70 years ago

Coppini's main value, even today, is being an authentic Italian family brand.

The Italian olive oil world is now full of family brands that have been bought by multinational companies. The Coppini family is proud to still pass on its secret know-how from father to son. Because Coppini is not just a family brand, it is above all a family. Your trusted family for oil.

1955

On 13 June 1955, Giuseppe Coppini started his first olive oil business in Terni, in a small premise located in the centre of the city, in Via del Teatro Romano. Here, his fame began to grow thanks to his mastery as a producer, his skill as an olive oil taster and master blender, and his creation of a product with perfect taste.

1975

The “Ditta Giuseppe Coppini e Figlio” incorporated another local company, the “Ditta Oleificio Paradiso”, thus renaming itself “Oleifici Coppini Paradiso di Angelo Coppini”. The production site stayed in the heart of the city centre, moving to larger premises in Via Fratini. The new company logo established itself and soon became a renowned brand for guaranteed quality.

1990

The company headquarter moved again for the significant business developments: this time to a new establishment on the outskirts of Terni. The company changed its name to Oleificio Coppini Angelo Ditta Individuale and the new premise (unchanged to this day) enabled it to meet new challenges in terms of quality standards and advanced production technology. The company began a flourishing period of development, not just thanks to new production facilities but also to evolving marketing strategies.

1994 - 1999

The third generation of the family joined the management of Oleificio Coppini Angelo. The company thus embarked on a new phase of growth. In 1994, the eldest daughter, Micaela Coppini, drew up the first export strategies that would enable the brand to establish itself abroad after a few years. In 1999, Angelo Coppini handed over the production management to his second son, Andrea, and the company was registered as a family business (the so-called Impresa Familiare). The company is strengthened by the family’s mutual talent for tasting and selecting raw materials. 1999 was also the year of the implementation of the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) system: the system of hygienic control of every production stage to guarantee the highest food quality.

2005

Oleificio Coppini Angelo Impresa Familiare was converted into a limited liability company whose shares were divided between the partners, Angelo, Micaela and Andrea Coppini.

2008 - 2010

Oleificio Coppini Angelo S.r.l. acquired a new production plant that made possible the packaging of PET packages for the food service industry. Production capacity reached 18,000 units per hour.
New company developments also led to an image makeover, with a restyling of the labels and logo.
Matteo Coppini entered the company, in the role of Domestic sales.

2011

Coppini was one of the forerunners in the ecological commitment and, with an investment of half a million Euros, built an ultra-modern photovoltaic system covering the entire building, capable of generating 185.75 kW of electricity.

2012

After only seven years, Oleificio Coppini Angelo S.r.l. became a Public Limited Company. Its shares were divided among the partners, Angelo, Micaela, Andrea, and Matteo Coppini.

2019 - 2021

On 27/11/2019, work began on the extension of the Recentino Road establishment. Despite the global pandemic, in 2021 the company put the final touches to the new production area, which tripled in size, with 5 times more storage capacity and 3 new production lines that churn out 60,000 litres/hour of bottled oil.

2024

The Coppini brand is evolving and increasing its strength thanks to a new brand identity, a new innovative testing laboratory, and important new domestic and foreign distributors.

The Marmore Falls are one of the best known and oldest symbols of the city of Terni, together with its patron saint, St Valentine.

At 165 metres high, they are the highest waterfall in europe.

Near the Terni town of Marmore, the Velino river plunges into the gorge of the Nera river below, forming the wonder-full waterfall. It was conceived by the Romans, who thought of connecting the Velino river of the Rieti town with the Nera river of the Interamna valley, now Terni. The current Terni area of the Valnerina is known not only for hosting the waterfall, but also for its olive-growing hills and production of extra virgin olive oil.
