Our typical, Umbrian, old farmer’s traditions teach us to prefer the extra virgin olive oil when is unfiltered, exactly as it comes out after the olives are squeezed. Even better when it is “NOVELLO”, as it is from November till February. Il Grezzo del Contadino (literally ‘the farmer’s rough, coarse extra virgin olive oil’) is characterized by a strong, genuine, long-lasting fresh taste. Use it fresh on dishes we usually eat during autumn and winter seasons such as steamy hot soup, bruschettas, grilled and roasted meat and vegetables.
